Justice – Fabric Rejected Mix

If any of you haven’t heard, which you probably have, Justice was rejected by London’s Fabric for the highly anticipated Christmas mix. Yes, this was a while ago, I’m quite late but wanted to post this just for record’s sake. The mix was “mainly weird disco tracks and French novelty acts” and supposedly Justice was rejected because Fabric, “they weren’t ready for something like this.” I’m not really surprised though. Posted in gorillavsbear, where I got this anyways, he said that it’s probably due to the royalties that Fabric would’ve had to pay to these extremely obscure artists. Also, this mix is nothing like anything Fabric has used. If you’ve ever heard Fabric releases, it’s mostly electro/techno or house. This mix is almost the opposite of that. But for any of you who are bummed out about this, Justice will be making a mix for Fabric for the June 2008 live mix.

An interesting thing actually, Justice used Gobin’s Tenebrae which to demonstrate their obscurity, is taken from the soundtrack of a 1982 Dario Argento horror movie. It’s used as the foundations of Justice’s song PHANTOM, you can hear it for yourself anyways.
