After a night of awful music at the university bar which seemed to include two G-Unit albums and the soundtrack from some bad movie with lots of fake gunshot sounds which was almost like a copycat of M.I.A.'s Paper Planes, I think I found my love for electro and Justice. More to the fact that they didn't play any of it to my disappointment. I was itching for some strange electro sounds. I definitely woke up with the Soulwax remix of Justice's Phantom Pt. 2 in my head for no reason at all since I haven't listened to the track since I posted it. If there's one group I'd like to see live right now, it's Soulwax. Check out their videos from Durrr Club part 1 and part 2.
With completely unrelated tracks, I was just listening to Kanye when I got into Toronto yesterday. Though it was his older stuff, Kanye nonetheless. I was a bit weary about posting this track initially because I don't like posting stuff that'll get taken down two seconds later. But it seems as though he's cool enough to let this slide as every other blog seems to be okay. No mystery "disappearances" yet or planned "accidents" yet. Similar to my reaction to Snoop Dogg's complete change in style with Sexual Eruption, this kind of blew me out of the water as well. I felt almost a completely different attitude with this track than from his first three albums. The robotic voice throughout the song with no rapping in sight, unexpected to say the least. This single which I know little about will be released October 7. According to wiki, he wrote this ten days before the 2008 MTV VMA's as the explosive finale. The track was also posted on Kanye's blog. I also included an edit by Flufftronix of the song that makes the song somewhat more danceable.

Too bad Kanye isn't writing good music anymore. I would've loved to see him go to greatness, but after the Late Registration album, he's completely gone downhill.
