To be a student again
Have a good drunk Halloween? Let’s start with the music. Rumor had it that The Third Twin was Daft Punk leaking rejected tracks for the Tron soundtrack. It sounds like Daft Punk. It looks like Daft Punk. It smells like Daft Punk. But is it Daft Punk? Nah, you’re just a dreamer. Regardless, good marketing. Silently sitting back while people claim you’re the most influential and successful French House duo. Anyways, I included one song from The Third Twin’s released free album Homemade, Americ Family. There’s a couple decent tracks from the album so make sure you check it out without the idea that they are Daft Punk, you can download it for free from last.fm.
Second I just had to post, being a month away from everything, Bag Raiders! They released their self-titled debut album last month which I didn’t get a chance to listen to until recently. It wasn’t COMPLETELY what I was expecting from what I heard from their previous remixes or their EP Fun Punch, but it’s pretty close. I won’t make many comments on the whole album yet, I will save that for a review as usually it takes more than just a couple listens of the whole thing. The album is great, a lot more variety than from their previous stuff. That’s important in an album. The big bangs are yet to hit me, I’m going to give it a bit of time. Included Sunlight for you guys.
Was listening to Hype yesterday and came across this great artist, Labyrinth Ear. Reminds me slightly of Crystal Castles but less 8-bit, and more geared towards what I listen to. Crystal Castles comes across almost harsh to my ears, although I do love CC from time to time. You can actually get their Oak EP free off their site here.

The Third Twin is the best fucking music I have heard since last ten years.
In my view they are Daft Punk: Homen-Christo has two twin coussins about 18 years old.
This music belong to the first rejected soundtrack thought to Tron movie.
Guy Manuel, and Tomas cant talk about it, and they cant use their trade image (their helmets, wich belong to Virgin, althought was a Soma Records idea).
American people, listen more the French radios… this new is so old, in France everybody knows they are Daft Punk.
Even they performed these tracks at a clubnight. Try to find out on google.

Oh I agree, it’s great French House regardless of who they are. I can’t see it being music rejected by Disney for the soundtrack though, unless hypothetically it’s stuff from preliminary work or Daft Punk’s unfinished work.
As for whether or not they’re Daft Punk, I may be completely wrong, but I’m still unconvinced. Especially after that whole Pilotpriest ordeal, too many Daft Punk lookalikes out there for me to be convinced quickly that it’s actually Daft Punk.
