Four tracks for you all! The Knight One remix of LIGHTS is mind blowing in the calmest way ever, I’m really liking it. Really going for the retro sounding route, I love that route. I haven’t listened to her newest album Siberia yet, I’ll have to give it a shot though. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgot about the other albums I was going to write about, but you know what? I like letting albums sit, people who push out reviews two weeks before the album is released probably regret half the things they say. I hated the new Justice album for the first week I listened to it, but changed drastically afterwards. At least my indecisiveness is predictable! I’ve been meaning to post this track for a while now, the Le Castle Vania remix of Kaskade. I haven’t posted this kind of electro since what feels like last year, but Le Castle Vania makes amazing remixes. His other remix which he released recently of Split & Jaxta Roulette is harsher sounding, I really needed something fast like this though. And one from the hit list, the Cazzettes remix of Spencer & Hill Believe It. It’s more club, but whatever I really liked the track.
I finally have something to post! None other than Le Castle Vania and his Bulletproof Tiger Volume 1 mixtape. It’s an hour and a half long of upbeat electro club goodness, I can’t really give it justice by describing it in words. You’ll just have to check it out on your own and the original post in case you want the source. I included three tracks from the mixtape, first on the list being the Lies In Disguise remix of the Toxic Avenger Poker Face. I thought Lad Gaga there for a second, but definitely isn’t. The Cyberpunkers remix of Gooseflesh, Gooseflesh being the first Turkish electro group I’ve ever heard with an Italian twist in this case. And lastly, from his own, his remix of La Roux In For The Kill. I remember wanting to post this during that whole La Roux craze but never got my hands on the track. It’s about time, cause this track is amazing.

Alright, looks like my cosmic demands have been answered by something out there and within days I was delivered great music to work with. And what says “I got what I asked for” and “Merry Christmas” more than Dan Aykroyd eating hairy Salmon. Classic Shit!
First Hey Champ sent me a link to a free download of their WHOLE mixtape. Right now I’m listening to their remix of French Horn Rebellion – Beaches & Friends. It’s just delicious! Also I will give these tracks heavy rotation in my gigs tonight and on Sunday. Let me tell you something…these cats have got it goin on BIG, so cop this mixtape! Really great production and SICKSICKSICKSICK remixing. 2010 will be really good to them! Mark my words!!!
Next up, I’m giving you sexy folks some good ol’ Le Castle Vania. His newest release “Nobody Gets Out Alive” is f*ckin KILLER!!! This track will make clubs look like a goddamn firestorm this winter. Watch out for scandalous behaviour and/or an obscene amount cleavage when playing this track, check it on Beatport….enjoy, beautiful peoples!

I know, two same tracks. That’s blasphemy! The two remixes are actually considerably different so listen up. First remix is by NightWaves of Pheonix‘s ever so popular 1901. I actually really love the sound of the track, something I’ve come to expect from NightWaves but it definitely still sounds like it’s working off the original. The second remix by Diese I couldn’t even recognize. Completely different and great work from Diese. And lastly, Le Castle Vania remix of Walter Meego. Now the remix was great, but I’m actually really curious as to what this track would sound like as a dub, without the vocals. Maybe he can make it happen? I guess it wouldn’t be much of a “remix” anymore.
Oh and sorry about yesterday but I couldn’t help myself. April Fools!! Give me a break, I missed the last two, I had to indulge a bit. Also apologies to feed readers, I’ve been having a lot of trouble in the last few days with Feedburner, thus the feed change. I think… that Feedburner will still update so you can still subscribe to that which I suggest, cause I’ll be switching back once they get their shit together.
Was going through messages from earlier this month and came across some Le Castle Vania ones. How the hell did I miss these? I love Le Castle Vania. Anyways, track isn’t terribly old yet, Le Castle Vania, Computer Club and Rrrump remix of Designer Drugs. Dirty sounding electro and sadly I haven’t posted much of that stuff in a while. Since my LA Riots craze. Second track is their remix of GRUM‘s Go Back and I love it. Very retrofuture sounding, whatever that sounds like. And lastly, their remix of The Virgins. More upbeat than The Twelves remix of the track. I can’t get enough of that scratchy synth sound.
By the way, anyone in Ottawa, Metric, Bedouin Soundclash and Malajube are playing at Pandamonium 2009 at the Civic Center on April 1st. Although you need to be a Carleton or Ottawa U student, but if you’re not you can always go with a friend who is or sneak onto campus.
Three new tracks for you as usual. For any of you who used the Savefile link instead of zShare, it’s no longer an option. I’m switching over to Mediafire for now, if there’s any problems, just contact me or comment about it and I’ll see what I can do. First track is the Nightbreaker remix of Boys Noize‘s & Down, a track I haven’t heard in a long time. Reminds me of the good ol’ days, quite glad it was remixed again. Second is the 8-bit sounding Blacklight Flashlight remix of Midfield General. This track came out early last year, a great remix of it, a very grungy sound. And lastly, Le Castle Vania remix of FUKKK OFFF, which I’m quite sad I haven’t posted much of Le Castle Vania lately. You know, I struggled not to say this was euro club, but it’s got to much house in it towards the middle. Boys Noize, Midfield General, and Le Castle Vania, three artists I haven’t posted in a while. Make more stuff cause I want more!
I decided to do the same for the LA Riots series as I did with Van She. Same deal. Things are going to be somewhat cluttered this weekend.
Here’s a group right out of Los Angeles, California. Well, given the name. La Riots consists of Daniel Ledisko and Jo’B. Not surprisingly they’re managed by the same guy who manages MSTRKRFT, they have similar sounds. Anyways check it out, there will be a part 2 & 3 of this series, including a mixtape to finish it off. I included two remixes this time, one of Madonna and the other Le Castle Vania. Also two of their original tracks.
